Biography Kendall Christiansen is the principal of Gaia Strategies, LLC, specializing in public affairs/relations services for environmental businesses since 1992. I serve as Executive Director of New Yorkers for Responsible Waste Management, representing New York City’s locally-owned companies engaged in collecting, processing and managing solid waste, recyclables, and organics. He was a founding assistant director of New York City’s recycling program (1989-91), chaired its Citywide Recycling Advisory Board, and organized Recycling Roundtables in 2002 and 2007. He was Director of Government Relations and Public Affairs for ReSource NE, Inc.—aka Allied Sanitation/Star Recycling (1994-96)—New York’s largest privately-held waste management and recycling services firm. He is active in numerous national, state/provincial and local professional/trade organizations across several fields, both in the U.S. and Canada.
