Tina tagged me to do this meme.

1. Pick up the nearest book.
2. Open to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people and post a comment to Tina’s blog (she’s the one who tagged me) once you’ve posted your three sentences.

I picked up J. K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”, opened it to page 123 and found this:

He cleared his throat. “I am here, as I’m sure you know, because of Albus Dumbledore’s will.” Harry, Ron, and Hermoine looked at one another.

Oh, and please don’t ask me about how’s the book because up to now I’m not yet done reading it. I stopped at page 167 and I have never find the inspiration (what?) and time to really finish this book.

Anyway, I’m tagging him, her, you, that person and everyone else. In short, everyone who might stumble upon this meme, please do it. Thanks!

When I was in second year high school, our CLVE teacher would require us to borrow and read Chicken Soup for the Soul books. She would even require us to submit our library cards to verify if we’re really borrowing Chicken Soup for the Soul books. The book is full of different inspiring stories.

After a couple of Chicken Soup books comes another edition of Chicken Soup entitled, “Chicken Soup for the American Idol Soul” for the fans of the American TV Show. Your initial reaction might be, “What? Chicken Soup for the American Idol Soul? What would I get from that? Will I even learn something from that?” The full title of the book is “Chicken Soup for the American Idol Soul: Stories from the Idols and their Fans that Open Your Heart and Make Your Soul Sing”. Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen, the #1 New York Times bestselling coauthors of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, and Debra Halperin Poneman have written the book.

With this Chicken Soup for the Soul book comes with stories from the Idols and their fans. Including stories from Clay Aiken, Jordin Sparks, Carrie Underwood, Ruben Studdard, Blake Lewis, Melinda Doolittle and other Idols.

You can now read the personal stories that the television cameras don’t see – from the top finalists to the behind-the-scenes crew, the executive producers to the stylists, the judges to the fans.

I wonder when would this be available in the Philippines for I’m really interested on reading this book.

Valentine’s Day is just a few weeks away. I think that you’re busy thinking about what gift to give your one true love on that very special day. Don’t worry because Couponchief.com is here to give you tons of coupons to use this Valentine’s Day.

Using coupons would be a great way for you to save money and give more to your loved ones.

This is my wish list for my family this Valentine’s day. I hope I could give them something special.

For myself I would buy Apple gadgets with the help of Apple coupons to be able to get great discounts. For my two sisters I’m thinking on getting them some Amazon books. While, I would be thinking on giving my mom some flowers from 1-800-Flowers.com.

So I think, that would be all. Thank you Couponchief.com for giving out Apple coupons, Amazon coupons and 1-800-Flowers.com coupons!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I could have blogged about these sooner but I’ve been lazy to blog these past few days (though I blog at my Ugly Betty site ). I love my blog’s new tagline, “My boring life… now a blog!” Anyways, here’s my real blog entry for tonight.

——-

Almost everyone on the Philippine Blogosphere who’s earning from advertisements or freelance works have blogged about what blogging bought them – the laptop, the dSLR, the car, the mobile phones, the Canon 400D and what not!

In this regard, let me blog about what blogging bought me. I’ve been earning a decent amount from freelance works, PayPerPost, BlogtoProfit, Bidvertiser and other advertisers through my blog and I’m happy with it. Buying things from your own hard-earned cash really makes a person proud even how cheap the item you bought is. So yeah, I was one of the fortunate people who are able to make money from blogging. Thank you to those who believe on my potentials as a writer and a graphics artist.

Blogging bought me the seventh book of the Harry Potter Series – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This post is really late because I’ve got the book few days after its release. In fact, if you’ll look closely on the picture the book was already covered with plastic . The book caused me P1,560.00 plus the shipping. I know it’s not expensive as a laptop, dSLR, car, mobile phones, Canon 400D and other gadgets but as I’ve said, “Buying things from your own hard-earned cash really makes a person proud even how cheap the item you bought is.” I could have bought a mobile phone for myself since I don’t have one up to this point! Too bad, most of my online earnings are left stuck on my PayPal account.

So, that would be my contribution on the growing list of things that blogging bought. I wish someday I could write a blog post entitled, “THE MACBOOK that blogging bought!“

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and last installment of the famous Harry Potter series written by JK Rowling was released to the public starting July 21, 2007. Many of the avid readers of Harry Potter all over the world rejoiced and flocked to local bookstores to be among the first few who will get their copy of the Deathly Hallows.

In the Philippines, local bookstores like National Bookstore, Powerbooks, Fully Booked and other leading bookstores were opened starting 7:00AM to entertain customers who will buy Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. In UK, bookstores started selling Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at 12:01AM of July 21. Publishers produced more than 12 million copies of the Deathly Hallows for the US Market alone. Famous and leading online bookshop, Amazon.com, received 2.2 million pre-orders of the Deathly Hallows because of this, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was referred to as the fastest-selling book in the entire history.

Spoilers and leaks about the Deathly Hallows was a major headache for the Harry Potter publishers. Spoilers and leaks were proven hoax while some were proven true. It was reported that the Harry Potter publishers spent millions to protect the contents of the books before July 21, 2007. A US retailer committed a mistake and sent the book to customers earlier than July 21, 2007. Many Harry Potter message boards like Hogwarts Philippines were shut downed intentionally to avoid the spread of spoilers about the book.

It is expected that come September and October, Harry Potter author, JK Rowling would be touring the US for book signing and oral reading of some portions of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
