Project Runway Philippines premieres on July 30

We have seen a couple of Filipino adaptations of internationally known television series such Pinoy Idol (formerly Philippine Idol), Philippine’s Next Top Model, Pinoy Dream Academy, Pinoy Big Brother and a whole lot more. I believe that franchising international television shows is the trend nowadays. And now, another known television series is going to hit the Philippine shores.

The runway is finally here in the Philippines! Filipino designers are now given a chance to break into the Fashion industry with this franchise of Bravo’s hit reality show.

The talk about the local adaptation of Project Runway, a reality TV show that aims to find for the best fashion designer started way back October 2007 when ETC announced auditions for Project Runway Philippines. Well, if you loved the American version of the show, you better watch out for its local counterpart!

Project Runway Philippines will premiere on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 10:00PM through ETC and SBN 21.

Project Runway Philippines is hosted by Teresa Herrera while Jojie Lloren will serve as the designers’ metor. Apples Aberin-Sahdwani and Rajo Laurel complete the judging panel of Project Runway Philippines.

It was reported that the winner will receive Php 500,000 in cash, a start-up business package, and an editorial spread in Mega Magazine.

I do hope that this shown won’t be a flop just like what happened to Philippine’s Next Top Model. Check out the Project Runway Philippines teaser below:

      infairness, maganda siya. tanggalin mo lang si aries. he’s so irritating. pero don’t get me wrong, i like his works. pero, he’s just so huge to be a bitch. super huge ng attitude niya. asar!

      I’m super addicted to the show…my favorites are phillip (because he’s so mabait), mara (talent is definitely there) and jazz (I like her works technically)…hope they make it to the finals…

      programa ninyo ay napaka-helpful talaga sa mga nais matupad ang pangrap sa larangan ng fashion
      sana isang araw mapabilang din ang asawa ko sa contest nyo at mapatunayan nya ang kanyang galing sa pagcreate ng magagandang damit at makabahgi sya sa inyo ng maganda nya gawa na damit wala po sya ibang gustong patunayan kung hindi ang makagawa ng pinakamemorable na damit kay MS.RUFFA GUITERRIEZ AT KAY MS.CHARO SANTOS-CONCIO marami pong salamat at nagkaroon ng ganyang programa na hindi lang ibang bansa ang pwdeng magpatunay ng kagalingan sa larangan ng fashion kungdi kaya rin ng mga pilipino….maraming salamt and more power…..god bless u all
