Pinoy Dream Academy Season II

I’m really a fan of Pinoy Dream Academy to the point that I bought jackets, notebooks and even pin buttons. I’m a Rosita Bareng fan actually. Oh, please don’t laugh at me like that. She many not be the best singer in town but she never fail to catch the “masa” audience of the show. I like the Pinoy Dream Academy’s format wherein scholars are asked to live inside an “academy” where will they undergo rigid training. Moreover, since they live inside an academy equipped with many cameras and microphones you get to know the attitudes of the contestants and how they interact with each other.

In fact, our family would usually watch the weekly concerts of the PDA scholars live. In my opinion, it is much better watching the concerts live than in television. I am excited because the academy would be opening its doors once again for star wannabes who want to hone their craft as a total performer.

I saw the Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 Primer last week and we’ve got a lot of new talents to watch out for. One of the possible contestants that caught my attention is Miguel Mendoza who was once part of Philippine Idol. Actually, he belongs to the Top 4 Finalist of Philippine Idol way back 2006 but now, he’s singing his way to Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2. Wow, we’ll be seeing a lot of people from Philippine Idol on the second season of Pinoy Dream Academy. First it was Ryan Cayabyab who would be the new headmaster, second was Ryan Agoncillo who’ll be the new PDA host and probably Miguel Mendoza as one of the possible scholars. Morever, during his Philippine Idol stint, Mr. Ryan Cayabyab even composed a song for him. Well, I’ll be watching out for Miguel Mendoza and let’s see how far he goes in the competition.

The one thing I hate about Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 so far is that this early, they are already giving titles to the possible scholars. The contest is not yet starting and I don’t think giving titles this early is necessary. I find these titles annoying. Well, Pinoy Big Brother is fond of doing this also. And I can’t do anything about it for the people behind of Pinoy Big Brother is the same as those people behind Pinoy Dream Academy.

      Hi jeric! I’m also a fan of pda2 that’s right si miguel is he gonna be in the house it would be anoying for him to be seen inside the house ano naman kaya masasabi ng pda prod ano ba sila galing ABC 5 tpos kukunin nila weew… well hehe

      Although last years’ winners were mediocre(no real talent!)I’m so happy to see a lot of potentials this year.It just saddens me that the scholars are voting for fellow scholars not because of their actual talent(voice quality especially) but for their demeanor in the house.This is not about competition for popularity(or so I thought)I thought it’s about molding people that has the voice leading eventually records etc..no matter what their status in life is.Please lay off Laarni, you just don’t know how hard it is for some people to socialize given 1 week(how judgemental!)As for Bea,it’s a little mean but what is she doing there with her karoake style singing?She can afford her own voice lessons,give others a chance.And Christian, I nderstand where he is coming from but he doesn’t have the voice either.Jet is plain mean spirited.He has to be reminded to be less abusive.Good luck Laarni!God Bless You!

      Hi! Well, somebody sure put Bea in her place(coincidentally it’s Miguel so that hurt more-at least he has a conscience)The problem with Bea is she doesn’t talk to Laarni,she talks DOWN to her to show her superiority.Apple doesn’t help either(she’s the instigator!)And for Jet ,he just wants to be with the popular people(PATHETIC!)He’s a bomb ticking(there’s some serious angry energy there!)As for Inaki,dramatic masyado with his mediation…I guess at least he tried.Good luck to Laarni, and the rest !!!!!(EXCEPT for the ones special mentioned of course)…….

      I don’t watch more of PDA until recently. I feel sorry for Laarni. I think she deserve better and fair judgement. I watched how the scolars’ mentors treat her this week. It is so obvious that they don’t like her. To save Bunny who doesn’t know how to sing, but to cry and magaarte is not fair compare to Laarni who can really sing. Liezel is so plastic . I hope Laarni can still stay until the last day of the PDA 2. Judges and mentors are sucks!! especially the one named “Kitchy bitch” (kung di pa sha swongit and mashaba. hehhe

      dapat lang matangal na si bunny because she really doesnt deserve to stay in the academy,in the first place diko alam ang basehan kung bakit sya nakapasok sa PDA.mas marami pa deserving sa kesa sa kanya.napansin kolang masyado mahrap song binibgay kay laarni tapos yong iba panay safe song sila kaya di naproprobi,eh kung sakanila kaya ibigay yong song na mahihirap eh bka pany piyok o pagkakalat gagawin nila.sana maging fair nman yong taong responsible sa mga song na aawitin ng mga dreamers.sana walang favoritism.
