Pinoy Idol Update # 1 – Nitz Miralles, a showbiz columnist wrote on her column that a very reliable source reported to her that GMA-7 first offered the hosting job for Pinoy Idol to Dingdong Dantes. Dingdong Dantes refused to accept the offer for he wishes to focus more on honing his craft as an actor. After declining the offer, Raymond Gutierrez got the hosting job for Pinoy Idol.

Pinoy Idol Update # 2 – A certain writer wrote on a local tabloid, Pilipino Star Ngayon about Jolina Magdangal as a Pinoy Idol Judge. A lot of the show’s followers disliked the fact that Jolina Magdangal is one of the judges for the first season of Pinoy Idol. A lot commented that Jolina Magdangal cannot be an effective judge and would only give cliché comments. According to the writer’s source, a different Jolina Magdangal would be seen on Pinoy Idol. The source commented that Jolina Magdangal is an effective judge based on her performance during the first leg of auditions for Pinoy Idol.

Pinoy Idol Update # 3 – The Pinoy Idol staff admired Raymond Gutierrez for his dedication on the job. Despite interviewing a lot of people during the audition, Raymond Gutierrez didn’t complain though he’s already tired.

Let’s wait and see for the 1stPinoy Idol on GMA-7. We expect that Pinoy Idol would air some time in March 2008.
