The followers of the show Pinoy Idol could now stop speculating as GMA 7 released its official announcement regarding the people who would complete the Pinoy Idol team. Wilma Galvante, Executive Producer of the Pinoy Idol show confirmed that talent manager Wyngard Tracy together with singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid and singer-actress Jolina Magdangal will sit as judges for Pinoy Idol which is slated to premiere in early 2008.

I do hope that these judges would stay away from the cliché comments.

On the other hand, Raymond Gutierrez would be hosting the show as Paolo Bediones and Regine Velasquez (who were previously considered to host the show) failed to meet the qualification to become an Idol host stated on the “Idol” bible. It is stated on the “Idol” bible that the host should not be more than 30 years old. Paolo Bediones admitted that he’s 33 years old while Regine Velasquez is 37 years old.

The first round of auditions in Cagayan de Oro wraps up today.
