Pinoy Idol Audition Requirements

UPDATE: Ogie Alcasid will sit as one of the judges for Pinoy Idol while Raymond Gutierrez will host the said show. :)

It would be better if GMA 7 was able to include the requirements for Pinoy Idol audition on their Pinoy Idol advertisements. Anyway, here is the requirements you need to prepare to audition for Pinoy Idol.

Pinoy Idol Auditions are open for aspiring singers from 16-28 years old. You are required to bring the following during the auditions:

  • Full Body Photo
  • Proof of Age (birth certificate, government-issued ID, school ID with birth date and others.)
  • FOR MINORS (ages 16-17): Written Parental Consent (stating that you are allowed by your parents to join the contest.)

The Audition Schedule:

  • Cagayan de Oro on January 17, 2008
  • Batangas City on January 24, 2008
  • Iloilo City on January 31, 2008
  • Cebu City on February 7, 2008
  • Davao City on February 14, 2008
  • Pasay (advertised as Manila) on February 21, 2008
  • Dagupan on February 28, 2008
  • Angeles (advertised as Clark) on March 6, 2008

By the way, the official Pinoy Idol Logo is now out though it failed to amaze me.

      Hello Glenn,

      If you don’t have a government issue ID, I think your birth certificate would do. I just don’t know if your student ID will be honored / accepted by the Pinoy Idol staff.

      I would like to query if what age limit po ang requirements to join Pinoy Idol… Kasi my brother wants to audition this February 21 (Thursday), sa SMX Mall of Asia at 10am, he’s 27 turning 28 sa October.

      And aside from Birth Certificate and 5R picture, i heard meron pa daw registration the day before the audition (Feb. 20, 2008, Wednesday)?

      Is that true?

      The show is open for 16-28 years old so no problem regarding the age requirement in the case of your brother.

      The only thing I know is that if you want to pre-register you may do so by visiting the website, http://www.igma.tv/pinoyidol

      Aspirants are asked to sing in acapella so CDs / Instruments are not needed.
