Pause to Pose :)
Aug 5th, 2007 | By Jeric Peña | Category: LifeYesterday I took the University of the Philippines College Admission Test. I was assigned to take the test on Room 308 of the NCPAG (National College of Public Administration and Governance) Bldg. The test went fine and fast! I didn’t notice that I was there sitting and answering the test for straight 5 hours. Hahaha! Really, time flies. Mathematics is really my waterloo! Although I get to answer most of the questions on the Math subtest still, I am not that confident with my answers. I really hope that I could make it to UP although travelling from Caloocan to UP Diliman is really pain in the ass. Hahah. By the way, I applied for European Languages and Linguistics in UP Diliman while Organizational Communication and Philippine Arts in UP Manila. Weird courses, noh? Please bear in mind that I didn’t have any preparations before taking the UP College Admission Test. I didn’t open a single book! And, I didn’t attend those review sessions for UPCAT that you have to pay. My decisions were right. As the test started, I was happy with the test questions. Why? ALMOST all the topics included in the test were taught on our school from first year to fourth year. I’ve been wanting to ask my friends who attend review sessions for UPCAT whether attending those review sessions is worth it or not.
After taking the UPCAT, My mom, Roxanne and I went to TriNoMa. Actually, yesterday was my first time there and the environment is a bit dark which I didn’t like. We ate our LATE lunch there and afterwards watched Harry Potter and the Order Phoenix. HP5 is a bit boring except on the climax part. Professor Umbridge is the new LEGALLY BLONDE! Hahahah. Don’t you guys really love pictures? I just noticed while strolling around the mall, people would suddenly pause to pose even it may cause traffic or what! Hahaha. So, it became a joke among Roxanne, Jenny and I. There is nothing wrong with taking pictures in public but please be sure you won’t cause traffic because all people were walking and suddenly a small group of people would just pause and raise their cameras or camera phones without further ado. And, don’t be surprised if you could see camera flashing all over the mall. TriNoMa, the PHOTOBOOTH MALL! Hahaha… Alright!
Believe me, you’d be happy and relieved that you didn’t take up any UPCAT reviews. They’re useless, except when you really want to throw your money around.
I was a bum before I took the UPCAT. Yep, a whole year of not picking up books, not attending school, and not caring about anything. Yet my UPG was higher than most people I know who spent huge sums of money for review sessions. Isa pa, it has always been my belief that if I’m “destined” to be in UP, I’d pass no matter what.
Well, I hate destiny. Really. Hmpf.
Hope you did well.
@Shari
I did the same thing, actually.
Anyway, marami pa namang schools dyan.
Did you put UP Diliman over UP Manila as your campus choice in the UPCAT form? Baaaaaad move. But seeing as your choice in UPD is a non-quota, I guess you’ll have chances.
I totally forgot. hahah
Anyway, we’ll see this coming February.

You wouldd have passed if you put Los Banos in your second choice.
I took UPCAT review, it doesnt make you better in just a blink of an eye. But it inspired me to move on and go reach my UP dreams. That is because the teachers were UP alums.
