Elections doesn’t end after May 14, 2007. It’s been around 2 weeks after the May 14 and yet the talks about election irregularities are still on the rise. Recently, a special election was held at Lanao Del Sur and what do we expect? A bunch of election irregularities! I salute Ricky Carandang (ABS-CBN News) and Noel Alamar (ABS-CBN DZMM) for standing by the truth and doing their job. Last night, May 28, 2007, ABS-CBN TV Patrol showed a report by Ricky Carandang about Commission on Elections taking custody on blank election returns and transported the documents to a hotel in Iligan City. Footage taken by ABS-CBN showed COMELEC officers transporting ERs to Maria Cristina Hotel in Iligan City, which is an hour and half drive away from the provincial capitol of Lanao Del Sur was also shown. Officers said that this was done for safekeeping. I am afraid for these two reporters as ABS-CBN reported that Ricky Carandang allegedly received death threats after his report was shown on ABS-CBN. I just noticed that this morning on the ANC Show, Morning@ANC, Charo Logarta (ABS-CBN Reporter) took over the Lanao Del Sur coverage. Be safe, everyone! Okay, let’s drink Starbucks!
